I’m going to the beach cafe, and get coffee to warm up.” I turn to him and grin, “Get me a hot cocoa.” He kisses me gently and says, “Will you drink it while it’s still hot?” I grin, brush the hair out of my face and yell, “Probably not.” I push myself to the flood line, head in the wind, the water raging at my feet. I yell into the storm, “I love my life!” I can vaguely hear my husband yell in the background, “You utter weirdo!” I grin into the storm and feel all my anxiety dissipate in the howling wind. Suddenly the thought of hot cocoa is too unbearable to resist. I run through the wet sand, my hair whisking in my face. I laugh as I try to run past my husband.
