Septemblog - my Photography Slump

I nearly stepped on this little guy!He didn’t budge.I had to draw my foot back. That’s the way my photography has been going lately.And this turned out to be the best image of the day and I learned something. My 75 year-old eyes can’t judge a picture by looking at the small screen on a smartphone or a camera.I need to wait until I get home and look at the image on a computer screen.(Probably on a no-less-than 27” hi-res monitor). Note to self. Today, I was experimenting and shooting in ‘Aperture Priority and half of the time I would forget to adjust for the lighting conditions. Keyword: adjust. This leads me to think that I should simply trust Nikon’s ‘auto’ settings.Use that as a starting point. That and the RAW setting.Figure out the focus and call it a day and just worry about composition. The little guy just waited until I took a half dozen snaps.
