Parade of Armored Figures on Horseback – New York, New York With all the recent architectural coverage, I’m changing it up, for at least one post. These armored figures on horseback are certainly dramatic and, probably for a lot of people, more interesting than architecture. I realize that not all of us are architecture nerds. We were running out of time, and the museum’s closing time was rapidly approaching. We had no idea The Met was so large. I’m sure you can tell that we are no longer in the American Wing. We made an executive decision to quickly visit the Arms and Armor Court. These are European suits of armor dating roughly to the 16th century. This art museum takes a very broad perspective on art. In addition to the ornate interiors of 19th-century homes, I wouldn’t have expected to find suits of armor in the collection.
