[RIDGELINE] Walking with Annie

Ridgeline subscribers — I never met Annie Dillard (archive), and I don’t feel as if I know her. She seems unknowable. Part of her attraction: an improbable cipher looking at the world and delighting in minutiae. So, no, we never walked together (and now never will!), but I’ve walked 1000s of miles with her in mind.
