AI Should Be Called IR: Info Robotics

image by AI; not my prompt Talk to anyone who’s been involved in AI design and they’ll tell you: What AI bots are, in a nutshell, are mimics. They have, of course, a vast repertoire of apery data at their disposal. So they can be pretty good mimics — entertaining, educational, time-saving, and capable of tossing out lots of interesting unoriginal ideas that might be useful to you. But the truth is that all this extravagant, expensive, resource-wasting technology boils down to a black box that spouts back to you (a) what you want to hear, and (b) what it’s been told, by a gazillion people, distilled down to a few important-sounding and overly confident sentences that it ‘guesses’ will answer your question or follow your instructions. It does the former because the designers know they’re going to have to massively jack up the price of it to recoup their gargantuan investment losses, and you’re not going to pay the coming premium price to be told you’re wrong. And it does the latter…
