"Ideas to Postpone the End of the World" by Ailton Krenak

Translated from Portuguese into English by Anthony Doyle. This year I've been enjoying listening to Antropoceno's latest album, No Ritmo da Terra, a work about climate collapse, Western imperialism, the destruction of everything that is precious by our modern industry, and indigenous resistance. Recently I read that their music was inspired by the works of Ailton Krenak. I looked up Krenak, but it appeared not much has been translated into English. This was one of the few translated works I found, so I decided to give it a go. It's a really short book, only a few essays long. I think they're all adapted from talks and interviews given by the author. They're about the destruction of our climate and the human behavior that drives it. It talks about how humanity places itself above nature, as something separate from it. About how this Western way of doing things has pushed itself upon all life.
