Woke up. Went to gym. Lifted weights. Came back home. Showered. Had coffee. Turned on computer. Replied to some work stuff. Scrolled through some feeds. Highlights include “No way to find what I’m looking for, $service full of gen AI to prompt new slop, despite millions of existing variants of $thing”, “200.000 barrels of radioactive waste are leaking in the Atlantic”, “Tech bro raising millions for a bunch of dotfiles and scripts, aka ‘agentic Linux’”, and “AI replies to post, trying to empathize, offering attention in form of ‘slop reply as a service’ for a mere $25 per post read”. Have we fucking lost it, as a species? Yes, we probably did, despite every half-assed, mostly individual attempt to slow down the decline. As such, our species is probably deserving of every imaginable apocalypse that we’ll inevitably get. A shame though, that it won’t just be us - we’ll destroy everything around us first.
