May 2015 Now that I’ve finished my walk around Anglesey it’s time to continue on the mainland and I did that by starting back where I have already been – Bangor! The reason for that is I did this walk as a (very) long day trip from home by train and hence Bangor having a station makes it the simplest point to start from even though that means repeating a short part of the walk. I had booked the train tickets several months ago, bringing the return ticket in at less than £50 which was not bad. However on checking the map and the (fixed) times of my trains I realised that I had made a mistake when booking the tickets and not allowed long enough between my train arriving and the train home in the evening, meaning it was going to be very tight to complete this walk in the little over 4 hours that I had available. I took the 09:10 train from Euston which was due to arrive at Bangor at 12:17. It was an uncomfortable journey. My reserved “window” seat turned out to be facing backwards, and…
