I first started writing in The Consistency Journal in March, to develop relationships for my business. While I started off writing in it nearly every day, there are now week-long stretches I go without writing in it. As I reflected (naturally, in the journal), I realized there were multiple reasons causing this: I currently have a very full workload and won’t be taking any more clients. Each day is busier for me now, and the transactional need to catch up is lower. I also realized I don’t want to catch up with someone and decline a working opportunity, which might cause them to feel rejected or disappointed. It felt risky to me. Many days, I didn’t know what the best next step would be, so it was hard for me to execute on it.
