Sideloading anti-hate protection into Vivaldi for Android

Back in May, I blogged about the Kill Yr Substack web browser extension. If you install it in your web browser, when you visit a Substack site it will redirect you to an archived version. That way neither Substack nor the author gets the benefit of the clicks. As I discussed in my previous post, I – and many other people – don’t want to support Substack because they fund hate influencers. (Hatefluencer?) I’ve been using the extension since May and it’s worked great. If I accidentally stumble on a Substack site, even one branded outside the substack.com domain, it kicks in and directs me to the archived version. Otherwise, it leaves websites alone. I love it. But it has one glaring limitation: with few exceptions, it’s mainly available only for desktop browsers. I can’t install it on my Android devices. That’s not the fault of the extension developer. It’s a limitation of the Google Chromium stack on Android, which is the basis of most mobile browsers. My browser of choice, both…
