Buy Something Nice for Yourself

Someone asked me when was the last time I bought something nice for myself? I told her that I just bought a vertical ergonomic mouse for my daily work. She said that's related to work. Is there anything that's not related to work? I said I bought a pair of gym shorts to play Pickleball. She said, wearing shorts to exercise is a necessity. I am actually quite stumped by the question. I have never really bought anything for myself just because I "like" it. Whenever I buy something, there is always a reason. Is there anything that I like which is pure emotions and illogical?
