To the Lake District for the LED Fundraising Walk & Dinner 2026, raising money for Val’s Charity Light Education Development which supports remote communities in Nepal and Peru, and this year, in particular, those affected by the Rasuwa flash flood disaster in Nepal. LED Fundraising Walk 2026 – Walkers ready to set off from Thirlmere Recreation Hall … entailing a visit to the North Lakes to spend a few days with Val for walks, cakes and curries. Admin on Tuesday morning then over to Kerrys Gate for tea, tour and chat with B. Home for lunch followed by an afternoon making curry and chocolate biscuit cake for the LED Fundraising Dinner in the Lakes on Saturday. Time for a bit of admin before tea in the conservatory. Buildings and contents insurance is such a joy. Up early Wednesday but that allowed for a leisurely breakfast in the conservatory, rug over knees until the sun replaced the purply grey clouds.
