Everyday Every day

I forgot you need to write every day. I remembered for a while, then I forgot again. Write and draw every day. Something got in the way. Life. Or the pretence of life. I’m writing this nonsense on the bus, on my way to work. It’s a little after 7:00 am. I’m sitting anonymously next to a young woman, across from the back doors. Everyone is minding their own business. I’ll maybe transcribe this later for the computer. If you are reading this on a screen, that means I succeeded in that last part. “Draw every day” is something the creative class repeats. Draw every day. “Nah,” you think, “that’s for them, not for me.” But for all the quirks of the creative people, and there are many (many), they are correct. Practice every day the thing you want to be good at. Want to be good at scrolling memes? Terrific, you are well on your way. Creativity is a muscle, my dude. Use it or lose it.
