Pre-Essen season is upon us, and that means three things for me: anxiously awaiting the day where my press accreditation is confirmed (happily that one worked out again, thanks SPIEL team!) checking way too many—and often way too long—”most anticipated” lists (honestly, how many games do people plan to buy?!? ) making space in the collection I try to run a rather tight collection. It’s basically one nice living room-type shelf, one smaller shelf’s top surface as an in-area, and one moving box (yes, I still haven’t fully unpacked) of older games that are hard to just re-sell. I really don’t want to start a second shelf because that would sort of manifest that I already have one shelf full of great games I probably should play instead of buying new ones. Having a separate “in” area as sort of a buffer zone has definitely helped with that aspect. It’s not a shelf of opportunity but more a proving ground where games have to stay before moving into a permanent place or—more… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
