I didn't notice this and I thought that the base had twisted. I was wrong and this is way out in left field all by itself. opposite endThis end is seated properly on the side and the front. This is the one I had probably looked at and then wandered out into La La Land.not twistedThis end isn't seated because it isn't fully seated in the rabbet front to back. Fixing this boo boo was way easier then fixing a twisted base.almostI got two screws from the base into the bottom of the bookcase - the 2nd screw came out all the way through at the front. The front edge of the base was away from the bookcase almost 3/8". I had to use a mallet to drive the front edge up tight to the bookcase. Used clamps to hold the base in the correct position while I drove the screws home.hmm......Initially the back didn't fit. The lower right corner was over the edge.
