Gratitude Day 3 - FOMO 0 ▲ Lazybear 3 hours ago · Culture · hide · 0 comments I want to continue with another thing I got rid of: FOMO. FOMO stands for Fear Of Missing Out. Wikipedia says “it’s usually characterized by a desire to stay continually connected with what others are doing and can be described as the fear that deciding not to participate is the wrong choice […] In recent years, FOMO has been attributed to a number of negative psychological and behavioral symptoms.” That could be an event, a profitable investment, or any life decision. I had various steps in my life. In my twenties, I usually tried to accommodate everyone, and, often, I didn’t speak up, even if I thought I was right. That’s when I started to use MySpace, Facebook, and other social networks. Trying to be connected with others. My friends I have are people I met at school (note many left), on the basketball playgrounds or the boxing gym. In my thirties, I became more confident, and I started speaking my mind a bit more.
