Today, I want to extend the excellent podcast “Slow is beautiful episode I listened to this morning with Gregory Mignard and Jeremy Janin. My apologies to non-French speakers as it’s a French podcast. The episode was about “things we should never have bought”. The guests shared what they had bought, and how it was an impulsive or irrational purchase. For example, they acquired a Mamiya, a Nikonos for Jeremy, an iWatch, twice for Gregory, and other things like that. I don’t really agree with their point of view on NAS though. They’ve gone back to using hard drives. I use my NAS for Jellyfin, as they do, but also for my photos and other documents and media. The main reason seems to be the speed. I have a gigabit LAN at home and, since it’s for backups, I don’t really care. Nowadays, I’m grateful I, almost, don’t have that G.A.S sickness anymore.
