It was just the combination of time I made in order to think, and the realisation that I had collected enough loyalty-stamps (burden points really) with the current kind of software and gear that: don't do what I want, don't allow me to do what I want, do too much of the stuff I don't want. I just wanted to find a simple cheap wired reverse camera kit for my little van, and all what I found was overpriced gear sold without the basic documentation that would help me make a considered choice, and with images that showed stuff I don't need or want. And so, may be, that was the last straw. It flared... From there it was a quantum leap: "Can I install Linux on my M1?". I already ranted a little bit about what irks me in the most recent versions of OS X, and I'm not going to reiterate. Sure thing! There's Asahi and Fedora. libdispatch is available on Fedora.
