Over the years, I've watched many superhero movies and TV shows. There were even rare occasions when Hawkman and Hawkgirl appeared. It was a thrill to see them fly across the screen, and I often imagined what kind of stories I would like to see my heroes in. At the same time, I wanted to introduce both the human and Thanagarian versions of Hawkman to the casual fans who are not so familiar with the characters. This is no easy feat, but the following scenario is something I thought up a few years ago. I'm no movie writer, so this may be easily scoffed at and discarded. There are no teenage hallway fights, no heroes reluctant to use their powers, no kids with asthma, no heroes yelling about not killing, no sidekick kids with skateboards or plot armor, no one out for revenge, or cute animals to grab a few laughs. Just straight-up hero action from one scene to the next. A fan can dream, and this is one of the ways I thought would be fun to introduce the magic that is Hawkworld.…
