I dislike changing frames for my glases every year, so everytime I get a new prescription, I only change the glasses and keep using the frames. See, the problem with reusing the frame is that, if its acetate, I will break randomly when you least expect it. And then you do the walk of shame to get a new frame that fits your glasses, and there goes another frame to the trash. This year, my job started a Lifestyle Spending Account where they give $500 yearly for Safety Tools, medical expenses, or remote office equipment. I decided to buy a pair of Safety Glasses. They are a bit different in style from what I'm used to since they are metal but they look good. I managed to find a way of taking out the side shields so I can use them everytime, but so that I can reattach it if needed. They're comfy, they stay on my nose, but the real feature is... these big bois are strong! I've had them for a short time, but I've treated them baaaad, and they keep going on.
