You’re not the first to do this and won’t be the last either, but you’re French yet you sing in English…I’d love to know why? I guess it’s because I was raised listening to english music. My ear is used to english words, sounds, and since art is a lot about imitation, when I started writing I imitated, and I ended up singing in english. Also, I’m not very demanding on lyrics, I like when a word sounds good in the context of the melody. I don’t find it mandatory to « make sense » in the music world. Also, since I’m not native, english creates a distance. If I write something personal, it’s the english-me talking and not the french-me. It probably protects me a little (not sure from what though). Most people can barely play an instrument yet you’re able to perform multiple, beautiful, sometimes at the same time (singing and drumming?!).
