I have been posting daily for two years

Damn! I hit two years! I still can't recommend doing this! I started posting daily in 2024, around the time that the world's best/only worthwhile social media platform, Cohost, announced that it would be shutting down. You can see 2025's recap, after my first year of constant blogging, here. In 2025 I mentioned that I'd started off strong in 2024 and kept a 4-6 day headroom of scheduled posts for many months. This eroded entirely in late 2025 and early 2026, when I was laid off. It turns out that my lunch breaks were the load-bearing habit in my life that was making my blogging (and blog-reading) easy and fun. When I was rewriting Possessors in 2025, having something else to go write or read during long writing days was really refreshing. I find that the more you write, the more things you have to say. Blogging was a great steam release valve. Getting laid off in Sept/Oct (I forget the exact date??? Wow!) was massively disruptive to my life, though not in the ways you'd expect. I had…
