The Friction is Real

I feel like I blink and a whole chunk of time has happened. Blink it's not the weekend. Blink another month has gone by. On the work front things are OK. Lots of people have been sick. Work carries on. My one good team member is really stuck on the needing more money mindset. Which is fair enough, I don't blame them. Everyone agrees they should be paid more, but no one can do anything apparently. Yet other jobs get posted for other departments that looks like less work, but more money. If we could increase their pay, that would introduce some friction to them leaving. Not sure if that's the right term to use, but it is how I see it. The work is OK and can be sort of varied The team is great We are very flexible with working hours Just the money is crap. If that was better the friction would be there, just enough to make them think a bit more about leaving. I myself have the friction. I get paid OK for what I do. I do things others can't.
