It's even rarer for Sarah to be interested in watching something spooky so the power of two Michael B. Jordans is clearly very strong. Sinners isn't particularly scary, but it is definitely tense and unsettling. It has a fantastic sense of rhythm and style to it, and I love that it shows so much respect to the evolution of music within African and African American culture. Both of us enjoyed have a bit of an Irish tilt to the villains of the story. It certainly was a nice change of pace! The IMAX shots are really quite spectacular as well. I think it felt like a bit of a novelty to get this kind of big budget period movie with the great outfits and interesting sets with all these fantastic shots.
