I love knitting these things, they are quick little projects and I want a stack in a lot of colours as I wear them throughout the colder months. They keep my hands warm while I work. I just finished the first of a new set of gloves, in a pink/white/green pastel variegated yarn that’s so cute. So I started the second glove. That part always makes me feel like a beginner, casting on 40 stitches, and then knitting the first row. I always feel like a beginner when I start to knit the first stitches. I also, at times, forget to count and then end up with the wrong number of knit and purl stitches. This way, knitting always teaches me to be focused. After all, knitting the wrong stitches means that I’m having to start over again, and feel just as klutzy when I do. And then, somewhere during the second and third row, it starts to feel easy again, the fabric forms as my confidence rises. I can do this. I’m a knitter. Knitting then becomes… No comments yet.
