The Clone Wars rage across the galaxy, with the Galactic Republic and its vast clone armies pitted against the Separatists under Count Dooku. In the midst of the chaos, small mercenary outfits are trying to survive. Zero Company, founded by ex-Republic soldiers dismissed after a military operation went south, is reliant on loans from the Hutts and finding itself spiralling into insolvency when it is given a lifeline by Republic Intelligence.
