Kat Hendrix - Before the Rain

I went in a bit blind on this one. This album has very nearly no online presence, but I did know that Kat Hendrix had played in Skywalk, a favourite local fusion jazz band, so I was willing to take a chance on it without any other context. And I'm glad I did! This is very early-90s smooth jazz, that period when everything in fusion jazz very suddenly chilled out. I think when I was younger I might not have liked this so much - might have worred about finding it embarrassing, gotten wrapped up in being concerned over whether it was corny. I'm glad to be a little past that so I can enjoy it more for what it is. The soothing tones are certainly quite nice to wake up with! All this said, this is another day where I don't have any actual music embeds to share. There are absolutely no versions of this album online that I can find, not even in the more obscure corners of the internet.
