2026 Week 37 Digest

A busy non-work week, first aid, a Japanese mystery novel, more science fiction, more television, and some video games. Even though the digest posts are usually longer on weeks where I've been off from work, it hasn't felt like I have been off. I quit a job that I had tentatively accepted but hated the scheduling and vibe of once they started sending me about 5 emails per day for onboarding. I did two interviews for a clerk job with Canada Post that I eventually didn't get. I worked a concert. I scheduled another virtual interview. I applied for more jobs. And I did a Red Cross CPR/AED First Aid course. Which was interesting, but required 8 hours from 9am to 5pm of near constant attention. And a lot of kneeling or sitting on the floor with the mannequins so I have a bruise on my ass and my knees hurt. But I am now a qualified first aider, should that ever be necessary.
