Same PDF, same folder, same title I stopped touching. Indie Short Fest, the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival, took Undefined Forest into its short script competition too. Two selections is not a career. It is two data points, and I know exactly what two data points are worth, which is why I keep writing the number down instead of rounding it up. What I did not expect is the jury review. Indie Short Fest sends written notes on every short script they read. After years of festivals that answer with silence or a form email, someone is going to hand me the stack trace. A file, a line, a reason. That is the part I actually want, more than the laurel. The other thing that happened is smaller and worse. The first selection let me say “screenwriter” out loud once. The second one means I have to keep saying it.
