heart rate in overdrive

you pulled out your old smartwatch last week. the cool, hackable smartwatch which you hadn't used in ages. you thought the battery had gone, but you'd just had too many background processes programmed. anyway, it's running now, and you're more organized than ever before. and you have your heart rate monitor set up on it. the last few days, you've noticed your bpm high, and today it barely dropped below 90. you started the morning knowing that you'd be alone doing customer service all day. then you received a call for the job you really wanted - you got it. then, you realized, as you called your friend a minute later - that you probably are in love with her - she was the first person you called. and she's leaving town tomorrow. it's now 7.45pm and you've just come from her place. no professions of love or anything - just some emotional hugs and a peck on the cheek. you wanted to touch her butt - you refrained. you know you'll see her again. you know she'll change her mind about you.…
