All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem 0 ▲ Happily Imperfect 2 hours ago · Music · hide · 0 comments Describe a concert that changed your perspective on music or life. Pick a song from that artist or band. I have a photo from the gig. The lights from the stage are pointing at the crowd, dazzling, the silhouette of hands raised in unison, in joy, form a sea before me. I’d been to many gigs but this one, this moment, sticks in my head. I’m not sure why but I think this was the first time I lost myself completely, gave in to the energy around me, raised my hands. I’ve always been a bit self conscious, never wanting to be centre stage, or noticed, all that much. But for some reason, I thought fuck it. I started to dance like no-one was watching. Dance like I had in the night clubs some 20 years before —under influence I hasten to add. It felt loose and carefree, I can remember the emotions building in me as the song hit its crescendo. I’ve tried to be more carefree since then. It’s not always easy but I always have this track to remind me. “All My Friends” by LCD Soundsystem Listen on… No comments yet.
