Driver Bernard & His Manning Wardle

Hubert the conversational Latin speaking horse is being given some treats based on some old recipes which apparently the Romans gave their horses of fighting age recently discovered in Nasal Nigel’s secret dungeon at the end of his garden when the police raided it the other week. Quite what Roman artefacts were doing in Nigel’s ‘space’ I’ve no idea, but it definitely somewhere you’d not want to end up in a straight jacket with Nigel showing you his Flying Scotsman collection in a multitude of scales and gauges. But each to their own, for toy train and and those involved are from a broad church…….On that note, rumour has it he even has a broad gauge Flying Scotsman in Z scale which runs on N gauge track. Meanwhile on the light railway works train trundles through with Driver Bernard in charge of his Manning Wardle 0-6-0 saddle tank, it bouncing along the rickety rails at a thrilling 13 miles per hour.
