🏳️⚧️ It's incredible how transitioning changed how I'm treated 0 ▲ puppy network :3 2 hours ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Transitioning was one of the greatest decisions I've ever made in my life. I am so much happier, calmer, more comfortable, and I don't regret it a single bit. Having been on HRT for over a year now (and still slowly discovering its effects on my mood and my body), there's definitely some external changes to presenting more feminine. This post is one I'm slightly worried about posting, I'm quite worried I'll say something wrong or the reception will be bad, but I'm trying my best so bear with me. I don't pass. I don't put any effort into my appearance. My hair is messy and uncombed, I shave and shower irregularly, I don't voice train (though I want to start), and I don't do makeup. Outside of politely asking people to use the correct name and pronouns, I'm assumed to be male quite often. All considered, I don't look the same (according to family and friends), though I can hardly see it in the mirror. My face has rounded out slightly, my skin is softer, my facial hair grows much slower… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
