I get it, AI companies are shitty, and their reach is menacing. Anyone that knows how technology influence legislation and society can easily understand that. I'm worried about it too. But lately, almost every content creator in the creative space launches into a diatribe against AI halfway through a video. No new arguments, the same thing every time. It's tiring. I'm mostly on your side. The part where I'm not is this: We can't ask regular people not to use something that allows them to "make" things that were previously out of their reach. It's unrealistic. Why would I ask my friends to invest months in learning a design tool to design their kid's birthday invites when an AI tool gets them a result that it's 80% the quality of a professional designer's work in literal seconds?
