Lately, I lost a business tender which I was quite confident that I can win it. This serves as a cold reminder to myself that business outcomes are still out of our control. No matter how hard we worked, no matter how hard we prepared, things will still go belly up. When we lost a deal, we gain the experience. So we try harder and prepare better. Losing is always bitter, but it allows us to appreciate the sweetness of victory. Never forget each loss, the losses remind us where we should improve. It is a sign and guiding light on how we should improve. It is not easy but true.
