1.Yes, actually, it is important to write properly, i.e. with words that mean the things you're trying to say, with punctuation used as punctuation and not decoration, with sufficiently correct grammar that the reader doesn't have to put in serious effort to understand what you're even on about, etc. If you are writing to convey an idea, it is in your interest to learn how to convey it clearly. No, actually, it is not anybody's bounden duty to ~continually improve their craft~ past a certain point of basic intelligibility. Writing is like cooking: you really ought to be competent in the basics, but not everybody is required to be super fucking intense about it. You don't need to be Shakespeare in order to express your ideas and you don't need to be Gordon Ramsay in order to feed yourself.
