What would excite you for a new tech device?

Ben Harris-Roxas posted a fun thought experiment this morning about what would get him excited about a new tech device. He mentioned having deliberate restrictions placed on it not just for AI or tracking, but as a way to foster creativity. I love all of it. I’d only add a few more things: Ergonomics. Something that’s easy to hold, and difficult to drop. Solid slabs of metal and glass ain’t it, and cases are a kludge Some basic form of extensibility again. A device should be able to grow with you, rather than be disposed of and replaced Colours!
