2026 iPhone Event Impressions

I ramble a bit at the start about where I'm at when it comes to my phone usage. Feel free to skip to the second section for my thoughts on the new phones and such. Pre Ramble I'm going into Apple's 2026 iPhone event having had the first feeling that my Galaxy S20's battery isn't lasting quite long enough. Nothing I do phone-wise is particularly strenuous, given that I track workouts via my watch, metro or bike where I need, and don't even text much on my phone if I can help it1. Nearly none of my computing is done on phone. It instead acts as alarm, alerts, audio player, and otherwise digital swiss-army knife. But, I've had a busy few months full of long travel days2 with uneven access to an outlet, nor time to sit and recover some charge from the laptop. Long drives with spotty service, searching for and connecting to cell towers for a few seconds before starting again.
