July 2014 This is my last walk around the coast of Anglesey. I certainly don’t regret my decision to include the coast of Anglesey it has been beautiful and I hope this last walk will be no exception! I was staying at the Blackthorn Farm campsite near to Holyhead so the fastest route is to drive on the A55 most of the way, to Menai Bridge. However I made a slightly earlier start than needed because on the way I couldn’t resist making a short diversion. I am driving to Menai bridge, but the next village to Menai Bridge is the one with … that name. Yes it’s Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch (don’t ask me to say it). The coast path doesn’t go directly through the village (only close by) and I feel I can’t come so close and not pay it a visit. It is reported to be the longest place name in Europe and the 2nd longest in the world.
