Seeding Saintbury 0 ▲ Cotswold Diary 2 hours ago · Nature · hide · 0 comments Long journey to the top of the Cotswolds to seed a site for a very special customer of Glorious Grasslands. I drove up with Niamh and met the rest of the team on site, where there were glorious views across to Bredon Hill and the Malverns. There were quite a few today, so the four hectare side would easily get done by lunchtime. We walked over to the first field through some quite incredible ridge and furrow. Some quick final maths by Tom and then divided up the seed into bags for the two fields. The usual well disciplined line formed and we walked in good formation across the field width. As usual there was a panic half way through we were using too much seed, but it turned out to be pretty spot on. Stopped for tea break after the first field and treated to Cerian’s excellent welsh cakes. The second field was a little smaller, so we were pretty much done by just after 12. A very pleasant lunch in the back garden before heading back south and home. No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
