The trailer for upcoming Carrie series

We have a(nother) trailer for the upcoming Prime series, Carrie. If you’re not familiar with the original novel or the movie, it’s about a girl—Carrie White—who has latent psychic powers and lives with an religiously oppressive mother. She tries to navigate high school and puberty but struggles amongst a lot of shitty people at home and school. This comes to a head when she is made Prom Queen but a group of kids play a horrible prank on her which has deadly consequences. The new series modernises the story to fit into our high tech and social media-driven world and judging by the trailer, it looks like it does a good job. I watched the 1976 movie as a teen and it was very affecting to the point that it messed my head up for about 2 weeks. Fast forward two decades and the world is doing that every day so I don’t know if I have the capacity to watch a very dark and very poignant series like this. BUT it does look good so I will try and root for Carrie. And have an after-show to balance…
