Her birthday was actually during our recent trip to Europe so we had only small, family oriented celebration with my best friend preparing a delicious strawberry cake for her which we all loved (cooking and baking are his great talents). Now that we are back in PNW it was time to throw her a second birthday party that she could enjoy with her friends. Despite early forecast looking bleak the weather this weekend was beautiful, with warm sunny days and all the kids had a blast at a local park by Lake Washington. The following day we were all playing in front of our house, twins munching on fresh tomatoes from our veggie beds while the oldest was running around with a mermaid balloon tied around her waist. Blissful happy times. Time flies so fast now… we have lived in the States for over 13 years, first 6 years in Portland and now over 7 years in Seattle area.
