Hell Yes, We’ve Got A New 2D METROID Game!

Nintendo of America / YouTube: Metroid Ravenous, the latest game in the 2D Metroid series, arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 January 28, 2027! Sure, people are going to be more excited about yesterday’s Zelda remake reveal, but for me, the idea of a new Metroid, let alone a side-scrolling one, is the best game announcement I’ve seen this week. Add the fact that there seems to be a vampiric element, and you’ve got a Metroid with Castlevania influences, so, yes, truly: a Metroidvania. Day one.
