Links, URLs and garbage

Almost every website today use links. In bloated and ugly way. Domain name is long, link is longer than a spaghetti and all this is hidden behind the cool label. SEO URLs, a relic of early 2000s search engine algorithms. People optimized their links for machines and made them terrible for humans. Then hide that junk behind the anchor text. Standard URL on the internet looks something like this: https://longdomainname.com/blog/2026/09/09/how-i-fucked-up-links-on-my-website If they link to this relic, they hide that mess behind some anchor text, so clearly visible is just some text as: "Links on my website". Deep behind that clickable text is some verbose and ugly URL. It's not clear where the link is going. It may go to some page on the same site, to some other website, social media, paywall, eshop, corporate web or whatever.
