Rippled Sky Over Billy Bishop 0 ▲ Duncan Rawlinson 1 hour ago · Nature · hide · 0 comments Duncan Rawlinson shot this photograph across Toronto’s Inner Harbour toward Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. A rippled sheet of altocumulus fills most of the frame, its rows of gray and blue-green cloud running all the way to the far shore. Beneath it, the island airport sits in a thin band: Air Canada Express turboprops at the terminal, the ferry at its dock, and hangars and service buildings along the runway apron. A single departing plane hangs in the upper left and gives the cloud sheet its scale. The water below picks up the same gray-green as the sky. It is an ordinary working corner of the harbour under a very unusual ceiling. Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
