More Devonwho: “Jogo”

A third track is up from the forthcoming Devonwho album, TV2, due out on the Leaving Records label in mid-October. The new one, titled “jogo,” is more abrupt, rhythmic and dissonant than “hibeams,” the track I mentioned at the end of last month. The arpeggiation here is severe, and the uncommon harmonic approach both underscores the inherent automation and lends variety and uncertainty to what could easily have felt rote.
