30-minute collage

When I want to make something but I don’t have a certain thing in mind, I make a 30-minute collage in my sketchbook. I get 10 minutes to look through my collage fodder and select images. My collection is relatively small (I think). A few magazines, a small bin of scrapbook paper, some cut-outs I saved from various sources. Enough to look through for inspiration and themes but not so much that I feel overwhelmed. I get 20 minutes to assemble the collage and glue everything down. And then I’m done. The time limit is so that I don’t spin my wheels. I have a completed page at the end of 30 minutes. The goal was make something, and I did.
