The Deutsche Sebald Gesellschaft (German Sebald Society) has announced three fall programs. Even if you aren’t interested in Sebald, it’s worth scrolling down to the third program just to learn about the remarkable “house without qualities” in Cologne! Ω A literary conversation with text excerpts from Sebald’s books will be conducted by Jonas Meurer and Ulrike Bauermeister-Bock on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 19:00. Jonas Meurer is the Chair of Modern German Literary Studies at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg and is an associate member of the DFG Research Training Group ‘Literature and the Public in Different Contemporary Cultures’ at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Ulrike Bauermeister-Bock is a member of the Pegnesian Order of Flowers and a writer. A program co-organized by the Pegnese Order of Flowers, established in 1644.
