Comfort media

This post brought to you by feeling unwell and also I've been working on my personal canon. So I'm on some comfort media. I love a big dumb monster movie. Pacific Rim. Jurassic Park. Anything with sharks. Also action movies. The more implausible the better. The Core. Deep Impact. The Mummy. That sort of thing. I'm also partial to The Martian, which I will put in with the big dumb films. Slightly less dumb, The Two Towers is my favourite of the Lord of the Rings films. I know it's not the best, but it is my favourite. I think Perfect Days could definitely become a comfort watch, and 8 Mountains as long as I turn it off at a certain point. Fingersmith, which might not seem especially comforting, content-wise, but I've watched it so many times now. Comedies obviously: Bottoms, Clueless, DEBS, Kajillionaire, L'Auberge espagnole, Hors de prix. Plus Amélie, which makes Audrey Tautou extremely represented on this list.
