Today we were graced with a 40th Anniversary Legend of Zelda Presentation, which included the first lengthy look at the Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. Here are my off-the-cuff reactions: I think that the Kokiri Forest segment was the worst possible first-impression. Hyrule Field, Hyrule Castle Town, and the montage trailer look less jarring. Even the shot of walking up to the Deku Tree probably would’ve been a better opening shot. I think they went overboard with Link’s textures, especially the hat and shield. I like the woven tapestry in the pause menu. I like that you can sing, hum, or play ocarina for the mic if you want to, that’s cute. I’m sure the game will be fine in the grand scheme of things, I’m glad people will have fun.
